Session replay

Jump from any funnel step straight into the sessions behind it. Replay is off until you turn it on per project, and every input is masked before it leaves the browser.

  • Drop-off to replay — click a funnel step, get the twenty most representative sessions that failed it
  • Masking by default — inputs, tokens and anything matching a PII pattern never leave the client
  • Console and network captured alongside the DOM, so a rage-click has context
  • Retention for recordings is separate from event retention and defaults to 30 days

Warehouse sync goes two-way

Cadence could always read modelled tables. It can now push cohorts back down, so the segment you defined here is the same segment your lifecycle emails use.

  • Reverse sync to Snowflake, BigQuery and Redshift on a 15-minute schedule
  • Column mapping UI instead of the YAML file we asked you to write before
  • Sync failures now raise an alert rather than silently retrying for a day
  • Median full-refresh time on a 40M-row table dropped from 22 to 6 minutes

Funnels got about three times faster

We rewrote the funnel executor to evaluate steps in a single pass instead of one scan per step. Nothing changed in the UI; the numbers just arrive sooner.

  • p95 funnel query on 8B rows: 4.1s → 1.4s
  • Breakdowns no longer multiply query time by the number of segments
  • Fixed a case where a funnel with a 1-day window counted an event twice across midnight in non-UTC workspaces
  • Fixed the CSV export dropping the final row when the result was exactly 10,000 rows

Metric library, with owners

Definitions moved out of individual dashboards and into one library. Each metric has a description, an owner and a version history, and every chart that reads it updates when the definition changes.

  • Ownership — a person or a team, shown on every chart that uses the metric
  • Version history with a diff, so "the number changed" has an answer
  • Deprecation — mark a metric stale and everyone reading it gets told once
  • Search across 200+ metrics with fuzzy matching on descriptions, not just names

Alerts were too loud. They now batch into a single message per channel per window, and respect the working hours you set per team.

  • Seasonality model now learns weekly rhythm, so Monday spikes stop firing
  • Fixed alerts re-firing after a workspace timezone change

Smaller, quieter and much better behaved on a bad connection. Both platforms now share one queueing implementation.

  • Fixed duplicate app_open events when the app resumed from a push notification
