One tracked action: a page view, a custom event, an identify call, or a row pulled in from your warehouse. Internal traffic from IPs you exclude, bot sessions and failed requests are never counted. Session replay recordings do not count as events either.
Nothing breaks and nothing is dropped. We keep ingesting, show a banner in the workspace, and bill the overage at $9 per additional million at the end of the cycle. If you go over three months running we'll email you about moving to the plan that's actually cheaper.
Yes, in the billing settings, without talking to anyone. Upgrades are prorated to the day and take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the end of the current period so you don't lose access you've already paid for.
Yearly billing is 20% off, which is the two-months-free version. Startups under two years old with less than $2M raised get 50% off Team for the first year, and registered non-profits and academic research groups get Business at no cost.
All major cards and SEPA direct debit through Stripe. Annual plans over $5,000 can be paid by invoice and bank transfer on NET 30 terms.
The workspace goes read-only for 30 days, during which you can export everything — raw events as Parquet, metric definitions as JSON. After 30 days it is deleted from primary storage, and purged from backups within a further 35 days.
